Modeling and Simulink of stationary Lithium-Ion Battery Energy Storage System
Implementation plan:

Step 1: Initially, We construct a Lithium BESS with grid Simulink Model
Step 2: Then, we simulate the BESS under load and charging conditions across a distribution grid .
Step 3: Next, we collect log data of State of Charge (SOC), cell temperature, voltage and current from the BESS unit.
Step 4: Next, we calculate battery degradation by incorporating calendar aging and cycle aging using temperature and SOC data.
Step 5: Next, we compute hourly and cumulative Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as round-trip efficiency and annual capacity loss.
Step 6: Next, we validate energy management strategies (stand-alone and coupled BESS control) for peak shaving at the point of common coupling.
Step 7: Finally, we plot performance for the following metrics:
7.1 : Time Vs Current (A)
7.2 : Time Vs Voltage (V)
7.3 : Time Vs SOC(%)
7.4 : Time Vs Temperature (°C)
Software Requirements:
