Modeling and Simulink of Wake Dynamics and Blade Fault Analysis in Vertical Axis Wind Turbines for Enhanced Power Generation

Implementation plan:

Step 1: Initially, We constructed a Vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) with six types of blades Simulink model using CFD.

Step 2: Then, we collect and pre-process the VAWT data using noise filtering and normalization techniques.

Step 3: Next, we select and extract the statistical features using the J48 decision tree algorithm with Principal Component Analysis (PCA).

Step 4: Next, we classify the blade fault using HNFCA (Hybrid Novel Fault Classification Algorithm) with (AORMSProp) method.

Step 5: Next, we predict the Weak pattern in VAWT using Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) and segment it using K-means clustering process.

Step 6: Next, we implement the Vortex Search algorithm with Artificial Hummingbird Optimization (AHO) for Optimal turbine spacing.

Step 7:Next, we dynamically adjust the pitch angle using RL with Genetic Algorithm (GA) to maximize the energy.

Step 8: Finally, we plot performance metrics for the following

8.1: Tip speed ratio (TSR) vs. Power coefficient (Cp)
8.2: Tip speed ratio (TSR) vs. Efficiency (η)
8.3: Tip speed ratio (TSR) vs Torque coefficient (Ct)
8.4: Number of epochs vs. MSE
8.5: Upstream wind speed (m/s) vs. Deviation (%)
