Modeling and Simulation of Surface Properties under VLEO Conditions ANSYS CFD
Implementation plan:
Step 1: Initially, we Create a 3D parabolic converging inlet with cylindrical storage chamber using ANSYS DesignModeler or SpaceClaim.
Step 2: Then, we generate a computational mesh with default or coarse settings using ANSYS Meshing.
Step 3: Next, we set up freestream flow conditions in ANSYS Fluent with low-density gas settings for VLEO.
Step 4: Next, we run the simulation in Fluent using default solver settings for steady-state analysis.
Step 5: Finally, we visualize and plot the below metrics
5.1: Accommodation Coefficient (α) vs. Capture Efficiency (%)
5.2: Accommodation Coefficient (α) vs. Pressure Recovery Ratio (%)
5.3: Accommodation Coefficient (α) vs. Particle Flux (particles/s)
5.4: Axial Distance (m) vs. Particle Number Density (particles/m³)
5.5: Accommodation Coefficient (α) vs. Drag Coefficient (Cd)
5.6: Stagnation pressure, free stream pressure, pressure recovery ratio in tabular form.
Software Requirement:
1. Development Tool: ANSYS CFD
2. Operating System: Windows 10 (54-bit) or aboveNote
1) If the plan does not meet your requirements, provide detailed steps, parameters, models, or expected results in advance. Once implemented, changes won’t be possible without prior input; otherwise, we’ll proceed as per our implementation plan.
2) If the plan satisfies your requirement, Please confirm with us.
3) Project based on Simulation only, not a real time project.
4) Please understand that any modifications made to the confirmed implementation plan will not be made after the project development.
