Modeling and Simulation of Virtual Synchronous Machines on Low-Frequency Oscillations in Power System

Implementation Plan:
———————————

Step 1: Initially We Design the Simulink model of the IEEE 9-bus system and Gather important data like bus types, voltages, generator parameters, and load details.

Step 2: Adjust the Simulink model by plugging in the gathered data.

Step 3: Modify overall system configuration to match the IEEE 9-bus setup.

Step 4: Ensure the simulation parameters are suitable for the IEEE 9-bus system. Adjust settings like simulation time, solver type, and sample time as needed.

Step 5: We run comprehensive tests to guarantee the reliability and accuracy of the Virtual Synchronous Machine (VSM) subsystem.

Step 6: We replace Synchronous Generators (SGs) with the Virtual Synchronous Machines (VSMs) subsystem/model.

Step 7: We simulate the Simulink model with VSMs and PSS

Step 8: Finally, the designed system is evaluated with the following plots,
8.1: Fault-Induced Oscillations
8.2: Damped Oscillations with SG and PSS
8.3: Damped Oscillations with VSM and PSS
