Modeling and Simulation of IoT based Battery Charging System

Implementation Plan:

Step 1: Initially, we will construct the EV charging system Simulink model including PV array, MPPT controller , Half-Bridge Boost converter, Dual Active Bridge (DAB) converter, battery model, and control units.

Step 2: Then, we integrate the MPPT control with the boost converter and implement CC–CV control logic in the DAB converter based on battery State of Charge (SoC).

Step 3: Next, we simulate the model and collect data such as voltage, current,  power, and SoC data.

Step 4: Next, we analyze PV performance by evaluating MPPT efficiency and DC-DC converter behavior based on the collected data.

Step 5: Then, we analyze charging performance by evaluating battery response, and system stability based on the collected data.

Step 6: Finally, we plot performance metrics for the following:

6.1: Time vs.  Voltage  (V)
6.2: Time vs.  Current (A)
6.3: Time vs. Power (KW)
6.4: Time vs. State of Charge (%)

Software Requirements:

1. Development Tool: MATLAB R2023a/Simulink or above
2. Operating System: Windows-10 (64-bit) or above
