Performance Analysis of Cost Evaluation of OT MSF Desalination Unit Integrated with A Solar Collector
Implementation plan:
Step 1: Initially, We construct a OT-MSF desalination system.
Step 2: Next, we heats brine water (Heat Transfer Fluid) up to the Top Brine Temperature (TBT) using PTSC with solar energy
Step 3: Next, we perform the heated brine as a 24-stage Once-Through Multi-Stage Flash (OT-MSF) unit, where pressure drops cause it to flash into vapor, which is condensed into fresh distillate water.
Step 4: Next, we analyze the impact of feed brine mass flow rate and final stage temperature on distillate production.
Step 5: Next, we calculate the thermal and normalized yield of the desalination system loads using TWC values.
Step 6: Finally, we plot performance for the following metrics:
6.1 : Number of stages Vs Brine BlowDown (kg/sec)
6.2 : Number of stages Vs Temperature (°C)
6.3 : Number of stages Vs Pressure (kPa)
6.4 : Number of stages Vs Distillate (kg/sec)
