Modeling and Simulink of Unified Software Defined Radio Receiver for Robust Signal Synchronization and Decoding

Implementation Plan:

Step 1: Initially, we collect and load the received signal from mysteryA.mat, mysteryB.mat, and mysteryC.mat along with transmitter specifications .

Step 2: Next, we perform front-end signal conditioning using modules from SRDmatlab, including DC offset removal, AGC, bandpass filtering, and coarse timing synchronization based on collected data.

Step 3: Then, we estimate and correct major channel impairments such as carrier frequency offset, phase offset, and symbol timing error using Gardner Timing Error Detector (TED) algorithm based on collected data.

Step 4: Then, we apply demodulation, frame synchronization, decryption, and bit-to-text decoding to recover the encrypted data from the received symbols based on collected data.

Step 5: Next, we use the signal receiver to decode mysteryC then the mysteryA and mysteryB decode automatically.

Step 6: Finally, we evaluate and visualize receiver performance using the followin g metrics:

6.1: Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) vs. Decoding Success Rate (%)
6.2: Frequency Offset vs. Bit Error Rate (BER)
6.3: Timing Error vs. Symbol Error Rate (SER)
6.4: Channel Distortion Level vs. Successful Message Recovery

Software Requirements:

1. Development Tool: Matlab-R2023a or above
2. Operating System: Windows-10 (64-bit) or above

Note:

1) If the proposed plan does not fully align with your requirements, please provide all necessary details—including steps, parameters, models, and expected outcomes—in advance. Kindly ensure that any missing configurations or specifications are clearly outlined in the plan before confirming.

2) If there’s no built-in solution for what the project needs, we can always turn to reference models, customize our own, different math models or write the code ourselves to fulfil the process.

3) If the plan satisfies your requirement, Please confirm with us.

4) Project based on Simulation only.
